VACATION!!! A word I love to hear!!!! It came and went way too fast. We left home on Thursday night and went to Alabama to Jason's parents house for our nephew Casey's graduation on Saturday morning. The graduation was outside at 10 am and there wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was around 90 degrees outside. Needless to say it was extremely HOT. Jack wore us out thru the entire thing and Saydee slept thru it all. We headed out after lunch to the beach. We had so much fun and both kids enjoyed the beach. Jack I think liked the pool better because the last couple days it was a fight to get him past the pool on to the beach. Saydee did so much better than Jack did at her age. We had a pretty good schedule as far as our day would go. We would go out to the beach in the morning after breakfast and stay there for a bit then head up to the pool. Around 11:30 or so we would head in for lunch and naps. Jack would be so worn out everyday that he would fall asleep eating his lunch. It was pretty funny! We didn't do a whole lot while there. We only went out to dinner two nights and the rest of the time my mom cooked in the condo. It was very relaxing and a much needed get away. Jason had a rough week. He lost his dog and his cell phone while we were there. On Sunday the Kennel called and Jeff have passed away at some point during the night. Jason was very upset and wishes he had been home. Jeff was a good dog and will never be forgotten. I'm going to post a view pictures from our trip.

The Arrival of a sweet baby GIRL!
It has been over a year since my last update, but my family has been very busy. In the last year we have been on trips, had great holidays, birthdays, and a new addition to our family. All of the things we have done in the past year have been great and we are very grateful of everything, but the biggest and best of all was the arrival of Saydee Elizabeth Carpenter! She was brought into this world on February 25, 2010. She was a little over four weeks early, but a very healthy baby girl. She weighed in at 5lbs 6oz 17in. She was HUGE compared to her big brother. We were very anxious and nervous at the same time to bring a newborn home right away. That was a whole new experience for us. The past 2 and a half months since she was born have been amazing, but hard at the same time. Saydee is such a huge blessing and we are so very thankful that God chose us to be the parents of this precious baby. Jack absolutely LOVES his baby sister. He has to kiss on her all the time. Jason had his birthday on April 2nd and he turned the BIG 36, Jack celebrated his 2nd birthday on April 7th, and I turned the big 29 yesterday.. We are looking forward to what the next year brings us.

An afternoon at the zoo!!!
One of my favorites!!!!
Like Father Like Son
On our way to the zoo
Jack and I haven't been to the zoo in a while and this afternoon Jason decided to come home early from work so we could all three go to the zoo together. Jason doesn't normally get to go with us to the zoo because we normally go during the week and while he is at work. We were all very excited to spend this beautiful afternoon outside as a family. I have some awesome pictures to share. The giraffs and elephants were so closed and amazing.

Jack's First Easter!!!
Jack's first Easter was great, but he was exhausted!!!!! We spent the day with my family in Sparta and it was so nice to be able to just relax with all of them. This is the first time we have all gotten together since Christmas and it was much needed. Jason, Jack, and I got on the road to head to Sparta for church and I realized I forgot something that I needed to take so we had to turn around and go back. I just couldn't get it together apparently so we were about 15 minutes late for church. Better late then not going at all we figured so we got there right at the end of singing. After church we took pictures of all the kids and that was an adventure. Nothing like trying to get that many kids to look and smile at once. I figure if I could get a smile out of one that was good enough. Jack didn't cooperate in any pictures at all. We spent the whole day there and Jack didn't get much of a nap so by the time we headed home he was so tired all he could do was cry. I give Jack's first Easter an A+.
